The Imaging Program at Northeastern Tribal Health System provides diagnostic radiographic and ultrasound services to assist medical providers in the diagnosis and treatment of the four state areas Native American population. The Imaging staff has high professional standards, and maintains the standards for the accreditation of Northeastern Tribal Health System by AAAHC.
The Imaging department is staffed with two Sonographers/radiographers. Both are registered with ARDMS (The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) and ARRT (The American Registry of Radiographic Technologist).
We provide both ultrasound and radiographic services on a daily basis. Many ultrasound procedures have special instructions (full bladder, fasting) that require the patient to be scheduled. We provide services to all ages of patients from newborns to geriatrics. We constantly strive to provide the very best service for our patients. We also keep current on the latest technology in the imaging field.
Procedure for Obtaining X-rays
After the provider orders an x-ray; the orders are sent to the department. Please be seated in the lobby until your name is called. The technologist will retrieve orders and patients are then called to the x-ray department to have their x-rays done. Your x-rays are interpreted by a radiologist. That report will be given to your provider explaining the findings of the x-rays.
Procedure for Obtaining Ultrasound
Check in at registration for your ultrasound appointment. Please be seated in the lobby until your name is called. The Sonographer will call you to the X-ray Department, where your ultrasound will be done. The ultrasound will be interpreted by a radiologist. That report will be given to your provider explaining the findings of the ultrasound.
