The Clinical Laboratory Program at Northeastern Tribal Health System provides comprehensive laboratory testing to assist medical providers in the diagnosis and treatment of the four state areas Native American population. The Laboratory staff has high professional standards, and maintains the standards for the accreditation of Northeastern Tribal Health System by AAAHC, COLA and CMS.
The Laboratory is staffed with three Medical Technologists and one Phlebotomist. All of our Medical technologists are ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) certified. Our Phlebotomist is certified through the AAMP (America Association of Medical Personnel). The Laboratory provides services such as: Hematology/Coagulation, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Urinalysis.
Routine lab work is done on a daily basis and tests not performed in our laboratory are sent to a reference laboratory. We provide services to all ages of patients from newborns to geriatrics and constantly strive to provide the very best service for our patients.
Procedure for Obtaining Lab Work
After the doctor orders the lab; the orders are entered in to the computer system. Please be seated in the lobby until your name is called. The Medical Technologist or Phlebotomist will retrieve orders from the computer and patients are then called into the lab to have their blood drawn. Results are entered into the computer for the physician to review.
The laboratory department is located on the right as you enter through the front lobby.
